The Turtle U Know™ Blog is has two themes currently.  Computers and Art.  However, The Turtle is my muse.  I have discovered many similarities in this solitary creature.  As an artist I have often found myself alone and most creative from 12 to 5 am in the morning when it is most quiet and free from distraction and other people.  It’s one of many correlations I have made from actual dreams to coding and painting or drawing.  I consider coding or writing code as a form of communication just like i consider painting or drawing or writing.  I use as many as my senses that will allow to communicate what I know my heart feels.  It is important to me to express my pain and struggles as well as success  as a therapeutic response to many years of unlearning.  As I began to program, I began to understand that we live our lives being programmed to produce the dreams of others and are not always taught what tools are necessary to fulfill our own dreams.  Why is it we do what we do each day?  What is the point of work or working when we haven’t established “why” it matters to have these routines in the first place?   We are who we are out of acceptance or we haven’t taken the time to evaluate what truly matters in our own lives and have only assigned values based on someone else’s value system.  I am still learning that most of what I have learned is values that I cling to in order to please other people.  It’s taken me a long time to figure this out, but I’d rather have taken a long time to figure it out than to have been clueless my whole life.  We all learn at our own pace.
